The international journal Rural 21 has dedicated more than 40 years to all topics surrounding rural development. Its ambition is to further those strategies and policies that strengthen rural areas of developing and newly industrialising countries and encourage their implementation. The journal addresses the complete range of relevant themes – from agriculture and fisheries via capacity building and education through to health and social security, energy supply and trade.

World Forum on Access to Land 2016

WFAL

The goal of the WFAL 2016 had been to organise a world forum in 2016 to address the major issues linked to unequal access to land, natural resources (see The Call). Finally, the global assembly took place in Valencia, Spain (31st March, 1-2 April 2016) with more than  400 participants from 70 countries from today at the Global Forum on Access to Land and Natural Resources.

Save Cambodia's Wildlife

SCW

Save Cambodia's Wildlife (SCW) was established and registered with the Ministry of Interior in July 29, 2002. SCW was initially based in Takeo Province and activities in the first few years included the provision of technical support to Phnom Tamao Rescue Centre, and increasing environmental awareness both within the wildlife rescue centre and with the general public.

Biovision Foundation

Biovision was founded in 1998 by Swiss World Food Prize recipient Dr. Hans Rudolf Herren, with the aim of sustainably improving life for people in Africa while conserving the environment as the basis for all life.


In the 1980s, the world renowned entomologist Hans Rudolf Herren saved millions of people in Africa from starving to death by devising organic control methods for a devastating cassava pest. He was awarded the World Food Prize in 1995 for his work – he is the first, and so far only, Swiss person to have received it.


European Network for Rural Development

ENRD

The European Network for Rural Development (ENRD) is the structure that brings together all the stakeholders aiming to achieve improved rural development results in the EU.


The ENRD supports the effective implementation of EU Member States' Rural Development Programmes (RDPs) by generating and sharing knowledge, as well as through facilitating information exchange and cooperation across rural Europe.
