The present Regulation enacts the Assessment Act. The Regulation lays down provisions relating to the assessment of farm land. In particular, section 1 establishes that the enclosed land value schedules must be used for determination of value for the purposes of assessment of agricultural land. The present Regulation enacts the Assessment Act. The Regulation lays down provisions relating to the standards for the classification of farm land. In particular, section 4 establishes that the assessor must classify as farm all or part of a parcel of land used for: a) primary agricultural production, b) a farmer's dwelling, or c) the training and boarding of horses when operated in conjunction with horse rearing.2) Land will only be classed as farm where part of a parcel or parcels of land are: a) necessary to the farm, and b) predominantly used for primary agricultural production.

This Regulation of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, which is composed of 34 articles, establishes maximum levels of the release of hazardous substances and fertilizers into the soil when entering sewage from treatment plants, compost or mud from dredging lakes and limits of the release of hazardous substances and fertilizers into the soil, methods of inputting data on hazardous substances and fertilizers in the soil.

This Act makes provision for the registration of land and related matters. It also defines certain rights relating to land and the effect of registration. The Act establishes a land register, which shall comprise a register in respect of every parcel which has been adjudicated in accordance with the Land Adjudication Act, 1978 and a register of leases required to be registered by this Act. Various provisions concern leases of registered land and charges on land.

The Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries may approve the statutes of purchasing pools for small businesses in rural areas. It shall lay down rules on supervisory performance and oversees that the associations utilize the given loans in accordance with this Act.

This Law provides for the protection of the quality of agricultural land, i.e. land used for horticulture, fruit growing, seed growing, dairy farming, the breeding and keeping of livestock, and grazing land, meadow land, market gardens and nursery grounds.

Land policies are of fundamental importance to sustainable growth, good governance, and the well-being of, and the economic opportunities open to, both rural and urban dwellers - particularly the poor. The President establishes that the grounds for initiation of legal and administrative proceedings shall be the following facts: (a) violation of terms and conditions of land lease contracts and, in particular, non-purposeful use of agricultural land; (b) sowing of plant species non-envisaged by contract; (c) unsustainable management of agricultural land; (d) systematic (for three years) non-compliance with the contractual terms regarding supply by farmers of agricultural commodities to purchasing organizations; and (e) bankruptcy of farming enterprise.

The purpose of this Law shall be to regulate of the relations originating from the application of mortgage of immovable property. Mortgage shall be classified in two types: (a) mortgage by contract (contractual mortgage); and (b) mortgage by law (legislative mortgage). Mortgage shall be applicable to the right of hereditary lifelong possession of the plots of agricultural land for farming and to the right of lease of plots of land (Art. 6). Lessee shall have the right to transfer land lease rights without lessor’s consent only in cases envisaged by law (Art. 54).
