FAO’s support continues to be instrumental as the country faces key opportunities and challenges in the agriculture sector, including increased commercialization and transparency of markets and growing pressure on land. Lao PDR has committed to improving food security as part of its efforts to graduate from the category of least-developed countries by 2020.
