Accountability and Transparency
The Global Land Observatory (GLO) serves as a global accountability mechanism by generating, consolidating, and making accessible data and evidence on land tenure and governance. It strengthens transparency by documenting the status and trends of land rights, promoting responsible governance, and supporting global frameworks such as the SDGs and VGGT. Through open-access tools, indicator sets, and policy guidance, GLO fosters informed decision-making and collaboration among governments, civil society, and other stakeholders.
