Governance

The governance of the Global Land Agenda (GLA) is organized as a two-tier structure:

  1. Supporters
Supporters are individuals and organizations from various sectors of society who believe in addressing land tenure insecurity as a means to achieve broader development goals.

  2. Multistakeholder Steering Group (SG)
The SG is responsible for making strategic decisions on how to prioritize land tenure in both land-specific and broader development agendas. This includes coordinated action within the land sector and advocacy to integrate tenure security language and goals into other sectors’ work.

The GLA Hub
The GLA Hub is a dedicated team that supports and coordinates the global campaign for tenure security. Its role is to elevate the visibility of this agenda in global forums and decision-making processes. The Hub brings together all stakeholders—both supporters and the SG—to collaborate on campaigns, enhancing the collective impact of the GLA community in achieving Land Rights for All.

The GLA Hub also organizes events, supports communications and governance, coordinates the activities of the SG and supporters, and implements the day-to-day actions that have been strategically decided by the SG.
