The “Responsible Governance of Investments in Land” (RGIL) project in Lao PDR fosters investment quality promotion to ensure that agriculture and forestry investments in land are productive, contribute to sustainable land management and respect the rights and needs of local populations.

FAO published its Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure (VGGT) of Land, Fisheries and Forests in the Context of National Food Security in 2012.
The guidelines are the first comprehensive, global instrument on tenure and its administration to be prepared through intergovernmental negotiations.
The present Regulation enforces the Law on Assignment and Reclamation of Lands in the Islamic Republic of Iran’. In particular, all lands in possession of the government and natural resources land is transferable except for grasslands, forests, national parks and lands of nomad’s migration.
The Act is the Statute of the Land Affairs Organization which is a state institute part of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The Law, which consists of 5 articles, aims to regulate matters relating to lands, increase the land supply and adjust the land price, as one of the main causes of social wealth.The Act has been codified in line with the Principle 31 of the Iran Constitution, which consider appropriate accommodat
