Showing items 1 through 9 of 158.The present Order is made under the Territorial Lands Act. In particular, the purpose of this Order is to withdraw from disposal certain tracts of territorial lands in order to facilitate the conclusion of Aboriginal land agreements.
The present Act requires that 581 First Nations, defined as an Indian band under the Indian Act, make their audited consolidated financial statements and a Schedule of Remuneration and Expenses of chief and council available to their members as well as publish it on a website.
For the purpose of the present Act "Northern Flood Agreement" means the Agreement dated December 16, 1977 and concluded between a) Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada, b) Her Majesty the Queen in right of Manitoba, c) the Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board, and d) the Northern Flood Committee Inc
The present Agreement - made under section 35 of the Constitutino of Canada - constitutes the full and final settlement in respect of the aboriginal rights, including aboriginal title, in Canada of Yale First Nation.
The present Agreement is a political or policy document between the Government of Canada, Government of Yukon and Yukon First Nations as represented by the Council of Yukon First Nations (CYFN). This Agreement is a common template for negotiating First Nation Final Agreements.

Section 2 of the present Act establishes that the patents of lands included in the St. Peter’s Indian Reserve issued by His Majesty and the sales of such lands made on behalf of His Majesty in the said Reserve are hereby confirmed and made good. The text consists of 3 sections.
The present Act approves the Agreement concluded on July 20, 1993 between Her Majesty in right of Canada and the Pictou Landing Indian Band.
Article 1 of the present Act confirms the enclosed Agreement between the Government of the Dominion of Canada and the Government of the Province of British Columbia on the sale of the Songhees Indian Reserve. The Agreement lays down provisions relating to transfer and payment procedures.
