Regulation on Land Survey.

The purpose of this Regulation is to improve land management and to guarantee the sustainable development of land.Land survey shall be aimed at ascertaining the land resources and utilization conditions, obtaining authentic and accurate basic land data, providing the basis for scientific planning, reasonable utilization and effective protection of land resources, etc.According to the Regulation, a nationwide land survey will be launched every 10 years and a land change survey will be conducted annually. The surveys are funded by central and local governments and will provide authentic basis for the government's policy-making to efficiently utilize and protect land, especially arable land.The Regulation further provides for: organization and implementation of land survey; processing of survey results and their quality control; establishment of a release system of land survey results; etc.
