The purpose of this Agreement is to create a transboundary biosphere reserve "West Polesie", consisting of three national biosphere reserves, and cooperation on protection and sustainable development of the region in conformity with UNESCO's "Man and the Biosphere" (MAB) program. The Regulations make amendments to the Landfill Tax Regulations 1996 in order to make changes to the operation of the Landfill Communities Fund (the ‘LCF’). These Regulations, first, reduce the maximum amount of credit that a registered person may receive in respect of LCF contributions in any contribution year. It shall not be applicable to deep quarries subject to issuance of special permits for operation thereof.
