Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978.

This Act, consisting of seven Parts, provides for the reservation of certain Crown lands and their management. Reserved lands are managed by committees of management whose functions and powers are defined in Part 3. Part 4 contains special provisions on certain reserved lands: land used for horse or greyhound racing, landing grounds, marinas, sport facilities and activities and mineral springs. Part 6 contains provisions relating to particular Crown land reserves.

This Act, consisting of 110 Sections divided into twelve Parts and completed by one Schedule, regulates land acquisition for public purposes and related procedures, up to registration. The Act also covers compensation and the methods for the payment of compensation and interests on compensation. The Act also provides for the resolution of disputes related to land acquisition and compensation.

Valuation of Land Act 1960.

This Act concerns the valuation of land in Victoria and provides for the appointment of the Valuer-general and of the Valuers' Qualification Board. The Act consists of 52 sections and is divided into four parts. Part I is dedicated to the Valuer-general, Part II to the registration of valuers, Part III covers objections, reviews and appeals, and Part IV contains provisions of miscellaneous nature.
