The scope of this Law shall be regulation of the modalities of constitution and functioning of the European cooperative societies in case of registration thereof on the territory of the Latvian Republic or already registered in Latvia cooperative, commercial enterprise or natural person – permanent resident in Latvia takes part in the constitution of a European cooperative. In case of unification of cooperatives from European countries, the constituent, that is registered cooperative in the Latvian Republic, must submit a written notice and draft of unification contract to the State Register of Enterprises. Recording of a European cooperative in the State Register of Enterprises shall be performed upon submittal of application by the Party concerned or by court decision. Application forms shall be validated by the Cabinet of Ministers.
