The present Act lays down provisions relating to agricultural lands in the domain of the state. It applies to any agricultural land in the domain of the State, hereinafter referred to as “ungranted land”. It applies also to any agricultural land in the domain of the State considered as “land under concession”. No person may cut timber on ungranted land or on land under concession unless he is authorized to do so by the Minister, subject to paragraph 3 of Section 47, or if he fails to meet the conditions and to pay the duties prescribed by regulation. Section 6 relating to felling of trees establishes that no person may cut timber on ungranted land or on land under concession unless he is authorized to do so by the Minister,or if he fails to meet the conditions and to pay the duties prescribed by regulation. The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is responsible for the administration of agricultural lands in the domain of the State.
