Cooperation between Ghana and FAO began when the country joined the Organization in 1957, and one year later the FAO Regional Office for Africa was established in Accra. Since then, FAO has been working closely with the Government, providing a broad range of support to the national food and agricultural development agenda. More recently, FAO has assisted the Government in implementing the country’s Medium-Term Agriculture Sector Investment Plan and in formulation of the Ghana Agricultural Transformation Agenda
