These Regulations specify the criteria for development which is of national significance for the purposes of section 62D of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the types of development which could be of national significance. This includes dams and reservoirs; transfer of water resources; waste water treatment plants and hazardous waste facilities. These Regulations also prescribe consents for the purposes of the 1990 Act and make consequential amendments. The prescribed consents are “secondary consents” for the purposes of sections 62E to 62G of that Act.

These Regulations, established by Royal Decree pursuant to Act No. 71 of 2008 and the EEA Agreement Annex XX No. 1 letter a (Directive 2014/52/EU) and no. 1 letter g (Directive 2001/42/EC), seek to ensure that consideration for the environment and society is taken into account during the preparation of plans and initiatives, and when considering and on what conditions plans or initiatives may be implemented.

Le présent décret modifie les statuts de l'établissement public foncier de Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur pour tenir compte de la création de la métropole Aix-Marseille-Provence au 1er janvier 2016, qui couvre notamment le territoire de quatre communautés auxquelles elle se substitue au conseil d'administration de l'établissement. This Act, as referred to in Clause (1) of art. 244 of the Constitution, amends part IX of the Constitution, related to Panchayats Extension to the Scheduled Areas. Part IX of the Constitution relating to Panchayats is extended to the Scheduled Areas subject to such exceptions and modifications, as provided in section 4.

These Regulations implement provisions of the Special Economic Zones Act and concern the designation and administration of special economic zones. They also provide with respect to environmental impact assessment, land use planning, sustainable development and prohibition and monitoring of activities within designated zone that have an impact on the environment. A proposal for the designation of an area as a special economic zone may be submitted by any person to the Special Economic Zones Authority.

These Regulations, made by the Member of the Executive Council of the Province of Gauteng under 27 the Development Facilitation Act, 1995, provide procedural rules relative to the setting and reviewing land development objectives for each local government area in the Gauteng Province under supervision of the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) as provide for by Chapter IV of the Act.
