Tla’amin Final Agreement.

This comprehensive Agreement between Canada, British Columbia and the Tla’amin Nation is a Treaty and a Land Claims Agreement within the meaning of sections 25 and 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982. The Agreement exhaustively sets out the rights of Tla’amin First Nation, their attributes, the geographic extent of those rights, and the limitations to those rights to which the Parties have agreed.

Article 87 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Legal holders of the plots of land inserted within the boundaries of areas with particular terms of land tenure must be informed of use restrictions related to the aforesaid land plots within 15 days from the date of insertion in state land cadastre of data on establishment of such area in accordance with the modalities set forth by the Government of the Russian Federation”.

Le présent décret régit les modes d'acquisition des terres rurales par des nationaux et non nationaux et leur transfert conformément aux dispositions des articles 8 et suivants, 355 et suivants de la loi 2013-01 du 14 août 2013 portant code foncier et domanial en République du Bénin.Le propriétaire bénéficie d'un droit d'usage, de jouissance et de disposition sur sa terre, droit qu'il exerce de la manière la plus absolue dans le respect des lois et règlements, notamment ceux portant sur l'obligation de mise en valeur, d'aménagement, de sécurité et de protection de l'environnement.

Article 1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Dendrological park shall be considered protected area constituted for the formation of special collection of wild flora species with a view of conservation of vegetable kingdom and its diversity. Natural park shall be considered protected area of regional significance within which boundaries shall be separated areas of ecological, cultural and recreational importance and in relation thereto shall be imposed restrictions on economic and other activities”.

This study assessed the contribution of Geita Gold Mine (GGM) to the livelihoods of local communities in Geita District. Specifically, it assessed the effectiveness of corporate social responsibility implementation, determined the extent to which GGM has contributed to socio-economic development in the study area, and examined the communities’ perceptions of environmental problems associated with mining activities and their impact on community well-being. A cross-sectional research design was employed, in which qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection were used.
