The present Regulations are made under the Planning and Development Act 2007, the Land Titles Act, 2000 and the Land Surveys Act, 2000.

This Ministerial Decree establishes that State Cartographic and Geodetic Service shall be authorized state institution performing state cartographic, topographic, geodetic work and services.
This Act consists of 21 Articles. It establishes the legal basis for activity in the sphere of land survey and cartography. Objects of land surveying and cartographic activity are the national territory, continents of the terrestrial globe and World Ocean, including islands, outer space, including planets and the products of land surveying and cartographic activity.
The present Ordinance implements, amongst others, the Federal Spatial Information Act of 5 October 2007. The text consists of 48 articles divided into 8 Parts as follows: General provisions (A); Demarcation (B); Assessment and renewal (C); Traceability (D); Maintenance of official survey (E); Permanent soil erosion (F); Data administration (G); Further provisions (H); Transitional and final provisions (I).
La présente ordonnance met en exécution l’ordonnance du 21 mai 2008 sur la géoinformation (OGéo) et l’ordonnance du 21 mai 2008 sur la mensuration nationale. Notamment, l’ordonnance concerne régit les tarifs des émoluments applicables aux prestations officielles de l’Office fédéral de topographie dans les domaines de la mensuration nationale, de la géologie nationale et des noms géographiques. Le texte comprend 8 articles.
This Order applies to the survey declarations in accordance to the Farm Act, by establishing rules on whether proof presented to the Cadastre Authority with regard to land registration may be processed without authorization; on certification of land deduction by acquisition of agricultural property; and on the establishment of an overview map. Cadastral changes may be implemented without a license by statements from licensed surveyors.
This Decree establishes that the competent authority for real estate issues is the countrywide network system of land offices (territorial and local offices). They are responsible for registration of legal transactions, cadastral mapping changes and dealing with land and other real estate property-related activities. The Hungarian Land Register is owned and maintained by the Ministry of Rural Development. This Decree establishes also the Institute of Geodesy, Cartography and Remote Sensing as the institutional body for land surveying and geo-information.
This Regional Decree establishes the modalities of performance of municipal land control by local government. Municipal land control shall be conducted in the form of ordinary and extraordinary inspections of legal persons and individual entrepreneurs. The subject of inspection shall be checking data and information contained in the documentation related to land tenure. The scope of inspection shall be to control compliance by land tenant with compulsory legislative requirements related to land tenure with a view of prevention and suppression of unauthorized transactions with land.
The Order applies to the application for appointing survey and cadaster land inspectors. These requests shall be submitted to the National Survey and Cadaster authorities in order to obtain professional international authorization of duty qualification. Provisions of the Order shall also apply to the application for the appointment of candidates originating from other EU countries, or from countries with which an agreement has been established with regard to the regulation of the land inspector profession.
“Director” now means the Director of the department responsible for land". Section 2, here repealed, concerned the Director of Land Surveys. Consequentially, a reference in any other Act or instrument to the Director of Land Surveys shall be a reference to the Director of the department responsible for land.

Part three of the article 141 acquires a new wording: “Land monitoring shall be carried out at the expense of state budget.
