The past few weeks have been critical (and uncertain!) for those of us fighting for the core principles of accountability, transparency, and due process. The Land Portal is proud to be part of this important work, providing the tools and resources needed to ensure land rights are protected and governance is strengthened through transparency and accessibility.
At the Land Portal, everything we offer is free and openly accessible—without paywalls or barriers. We are committed to providing globally sourced land-related knowledge, resources, and data to the land, forest, climate, and development communities. Our content ranges from Ph.D. dissertations on land tenure in Azerbaijan to materials from the World Bank Land Conference. And we are in the process of preserving USAID’s collection of land content following the shutdown of its websites.
We have always made every webinar, every report, every dataset available to users at no cost, and we intend to keep it that way. Our open access approach is not just about making content available, it’s about creating an inclusive space where the global land community can come together, learn from one another, and build stronger, more effective solutions. Our audience of over 26,000 subscribers and 70,000 visitors knows this. Whether it's improving the mobile experience or curating content to reflect the diverse needs of the land community, we are constantly evolving to make sure that our resources are always within reach.
But none of this would be possible without the collective support of individuals and organizations who recognize the importance of what we do. The Land Portal is at a critical stage and we need to significantly invest in our technology infrastructure to deliver a top user experience. Maintaining a secure, high-quality web platform with more than 90,000 pages takes hundreds of hours each month, and our need to evolve with technology advances is growing. Your contribution to the Land Portal can help ensure that our platform remains a free, open, and accessible resource for all.
Please make a one-time, monthly, or yearly donation to the Land Portal and help open up land information for all.
Thanks so much,
