Makueni County Sand Conservation and Utilization Act, 2015 (No. 1 of 2015).

The object and purpose of this Act is to provide a legal framework for sand utilization, i.e. the removal, extraction, harvesting or scooping of sand from sites. It establishes the Makueni County Sand Conservation and Utilization Authority and defines its functions and powers. It also establishes a County Sand Conservation Fund and requires the Authority to establish Sub-County Sand Management Committees in every Sub County.

National Museums and Heritage Act (Cap. 216).

This Act establishes the National Museums of Kenya as a body corporate and provides for the protection of national natural and cultural heritage (as defined). The National Museums of Kenya shall, among other things, identify, protect, conserve and transmit the cultural and natural heritage of Kenya. The Minister may declare an open space to be a protected area within the meaning of this Act.

This Order declares the areas, places or premises described in the Schedule to be protected areas for purposes of the Protected Areas Act and stipulates that no person shall be in those areas without permission of the prescribed authority or the Cabinet Secretary for Defence.

This Act: confers powers upon the President of Kenya to grant title or other rights in Government lands; provides for the appointment of a Commissioner of Lands and such other officers as may be necessary for the administration of this Act; and defines procedures and other requirements such as registration in respect to grant of title or other rights in Government land.The Act consists of 146 sections divided into 11 Parts.The President may make grants or dispositions of any estates, interests or rights in or over unalienated Government land in accordance with section 3.

Kenya Ports Authority Act, 1978 (Act No. 2).

The Act provides for the creation of the Kenya Ports Authority which may administer ports and establish and operate port services. The Act also provides for acquisition of land for the purposes of the Authority. The Minister may make, subject to other legislation, Regulations for the registration, licensing, inspection and control of fishing boats.
