This Act: makes provision for the appointment within the public service of the Director of Surveys Commissioner of Lands, the establishment of the Land Surveyors Board, the licensing of land surveyors and the protection of survey marks; and provides rules relative to conduct of surveys in Dominica and related matters.The Director of Surveys Commissioner of Lands shall, among other things, direct and control all public surveys, supervise and control all other surveys and examine and approve survey plans before registration of title. The principal duty of the Land Surveyors Board is to license land surveyors, to supervise and control their conduct and to keep a register of licensed land surveyors.
