This Law concerns land-use management and expropriation in Poland. The Law defines the guidelines for the use of built up land and land earmarked for development. The expropriation of real estate belongs within the competencies of the district offices of the government administration. Land owned by the State Treasury or gmina (township) may be sold to legal entities and individuals (art. 4). The sale of land owned by the State or gmina in seaports, coastal zones and national parks requires consultation with the relevant authorities (art. 8). There are provisions relating to expropriated real estate and restitution to former owners.
