This Act aims at protecting and preserving heritage places in Prince Edward Island. Under section 1, an heritage place is a place which includes or is comprised of an historic resource of an immovable nature. Section 2 defines the responsibilities of the Minister of Community and Cultural Affairs, section 3 provides for the establishment and the operation of the Heritage Places Advisory Board, sections 4 to 16 concern the management of heritage places and include provisions on designation and registration of heritage places, permits, inspections and offences and penalties.

This Law establishes the particulars of carrying out land survey for the purpose of ensuring rational use and protection of land, creation of favourable environment and improvement of landscape.

The Directive aims at preventing illegal expropriation, misuse or abuse of land and mismanagement of land rent, by ordering and providing for an inventory of all organizations and individuals that have been assigned land by the State or are directly managing and using land; those same organizations or individuals are compelled to provide the competent Authorities with the total land area measurements, the use they are doing of that land and to comply with land lease payment.

The present Federal Law establishes legal basis for carrying out land use planning for the purpose of ensuring rational use of land and its protection, creation of favourable environment and improvement of landscape. The Federal Law consists of 6 Chapters that contain 27 Articles. Chapter 1 (arts. 1-4) lays down general provisions. Chapter 2 (arts. 5-8) regards state regulation of carrying out land use planning. Chapter 3 (arts. 9-18) regards carrying out land use planning. Chapter 4 (arts. 19-24) deals with land use planning documentation. Chapter 5 (arts.

The present Law provides for the institution of the regional administration in all the territory of Indonesia. Provisions concern also rural and urban areas in terms of land use planning as part of the regional authorities' responsibilities.

The Act is divided in the following Chapters for a total of 66 Articles: (I) General Provisions; (II) Control and Management; (III) Upstream Business Activities; (IV) Downstream Business Activities; (V) State Earnings; (VI) Relationship between the oil and natural gas business activities and the right on land; (VII) Development and Supervision; (VIII) Executive body and regulating body; (IX) Investigation; (X) Criminal Provisions; (XI) Transitional Provisions; (XII) Concluding Provisions.

This Law concerns the management of non-divided agricultural land and the lands that have been refused in ownership or usage although granted under the Law No. 7501 of 1991. The Acts provides for land use planning and for actions to be taken in case of illegal occupation, abuse and damage of agricultural land (article 6). Under article 8, the Council of Ministers is empowered to approve all necessary regulations for the better implementation of this Act.

The present Regulation determines the modalities of ensuring protection of geodetic points. Geodetic point consists of special centre, external identification mark and external design represented by a ditch or bank that is the external boundaries of a geodetic point. Protection zone of a geodetic point is a plot of land on which it is situated and the strip of land of the width of 1 metre adjoining the external boundary of the geodetic point.

This Act is dedicated to land use planning, which include, among others: determining the limits of land use, determining the necessary intervention for sanitation, reconstruction or cultivation purposes, assessing and evaluating the technical effects of land management and use, proposing the use of land resources for the most effective development of land.

Preferential tax rates, exemption and reduction shall not apply to incomes deriving from land use and land rent rights as per Section VI.

The Law includes 146 articles divided into seven Chapters: General Provisions (I).

The Law totals 78 Articles and is divided in the following Chapters and: I, Fundamentals of the Agricultural Law; II, Agricultural Production; III, Strengthening of Material and Technological Foundation of Agriculture; IV, protection of Agricultural Resources; V, Management of Agricultural Products. The Law highlights agriculture as one of the major pillars of national economy because it ensures the supply of food to the population and the production of raw materials to be destined to industrial and commercial utilization.
