The present Act provides for the management, regulation and administration of the ownership and use of land for socio-economic development and environmental well-being of the country through efficient and effective land administration, security of land tenure, equal opportunity to land, facilitation of operation of land market, effective use of land resources and conservation of the ecosystem.

The objects of this Act are: (a) to provide a form of tenure of Crown land that facilitates the sustainable use of land for pastoral purposes and the economic viability of the pastoral industry; (b) to provide for (i) the monitoring of pastoral land so as to detect and assess any change in its condition; (ii) the prevention or minimization of degradation of or other damage to the land and its indigenous plant and animal life; and (iii) the rehabilitation of the land in cases of degradation or other damage; (c) to recognize the right of Aborigines to follow traditional pursuits on pastoral l

This Proclamation aims at improving management and utilization of land and land resources for agricultural purposes in the Southern Nations, Nationalities And Peoples' Regional State. It applies to all land that lies outside of municipal borders. The Proclamation defines the right to acquire, free of charge, rural land by peasants, pastoralists and semi-pastoralists engaged in agriculture and the equal rights of women with respect to land and provides for the protection of such rights.

This Regulation implements provisions of the Proclamation of The Southern Nations, Nationalities And Peoples Regional State on rural land rights and use. It applies to all types of rural land and lands used for agricultural purposes in urban territory.

This Regional Law establishes the modalities of allocation of agricultural lands for grazing, transhumance and pastoralism and is aimed at promotion of traditional forms of pastoralism. Land destined for grazing, transhumance and pastoralism shall be public property and shall not be subject to privatization. Land destined for grazing, transhumance and pastoralism can be allotted to natural and legal persons exclusively on lease. Map of areas destined for grazing, transhumance and pastoralism is attached in the Annex.

This Regional Law sets forth rules and regulations for grazing and pastoralism for cattle and poultry and is aimed at ensuring rational management of pastures, protection of agricultural land and crops against damages caused by cattle and poultry. Grazing and pastoralism on the regional territory shall be authorized on enclosed pastures and on open ranges (common pastures) on the leash or unleashed but guarded by the owners or authorized persons with the consideration and in compliance with maximum allowable rates of grazing pressure.

This Proclamation of the Benishangul Gumz Regional State shall apply to any rural land found in the region. It mainly is concerned with land rights land use and administration of rural lands. Land is declared the common property of the state and people and it shall not be subjected to sale or other means of exchange. Any peasant who legally resides in the region shall have the right to hold land irrespective of gender or any other discrimination. Land administration shall be implemented through community participation. Rural land shall not be expropriated unless to use for public services.

This Rural Land Use and Administration Policy of the Afar National Regional State seeks to provide an answer to the following problems: The traditional land administration and use system is not in line with the formal government land administration and use system.

Grazing grounds destined for pastoralism shall be classified as winter, spring-autumn and summer.

Land destined for grazing, transhumance and pastoralism shall be public or municipal property and can be allotted to natural and legal persons exclusively on lease.

Le présent décret crée et délimite un périmètre d'amélioration pastorale de l'Arid (Cercle de Midelt, province de Khenifra). La création de cette zone vise à limiter la dégradation des pâturages et en assurer la reconstitution en vue d’une exploitation rationnelle. Par ailleurs, les associations d’élevage constituées dans les limites de ce périmètre antérieurement à la publication de ce décret doivent être déclarés aux administratives locales.

This Regulation establishes an Agricultural Drought Management Board aiming at monitoring, performing risk assessments and reducing the effects of agricultural drought. This Decree covers water management, agricultural techniques, seed and plant diversity, irrigation techniques, economic and social support, planning of pasture feeding and land use, pest management and any measures to implement urgent action and restrictions in arid and irrigated agricultural land. The Regulation covers rules and procedures on the functioning and duties of the Agricultural Drought Management Board.
