New Online Platform on Indigenous and Community Territories to Help Secure Land Rights Worldwide
A broad partnership of indigenous coalitions and land rights and research organizations has launched LandMark, the first online, interactive global platform to map lands collectively held and used by Indigenous Peoples and communities. The platform was created to fill a critical gap in indigenous and community rights and make clear that these lands are not vacant, idle or available to outsiders.

The International Development Law Organization (IDLO) and the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) assessed the legal frameworks that govern land-use activities and investments in Zambia. The economy of Zambia relies significantly on land and natural resource capital. The Government of Zambia has identified land-use investments as essential to the development of key economic sectors energy, forestry, mining and agriculture. Land-use investments are increasing in Zambia, led by both foreign and domestic private investors.
CPLP Opens Public Consultation to Create Common Guidelines for the Promotion of Family Farming
The CPLP has initiated the creation of common draft guidelines to support Family Farming. These guidelines will identify priority issues and will support the Member States` effort to develop a sustainable agriculture to combat hunger and poverty efficiently.
