This Law provides rules applicable to the acquisition of land by the States through compulsory purchase on behalf of the public as authorized by Special Law, i.e. a Law confirmed by Order of Her Majesty in Council.
This Law is composed of 7 Parts divided into 68 articles. Part I deals with fundamental principles and general provisions.
The purpose of this Decree is to provide for matters delegated by the Act on Acquisition of and Compensation for Land for Public Works Projects and matters necessary for the enforcement thereof.
This Policy has not yet been adopted by the govnermemnt but offers guidence to some resettlement projects.
