Agricultural contribution to GDP in Malaysia has been declining since 1970. The usages of agricultural land are also gradually decreasing.

This paper describes a number of pieces of work that we have carried out in connection with surface temperature, making use if satellite thermal infrared data. The study involves estimating land surface temperature, sea surface temperature, land sub-surface temperature and forest fires.
