This Resolution consisting of 89 articles divided in X Chapters aims at defining the obligations and requirements to be followed to maintain the internal and external environment free from pollution. Chapter I deals with the studies of environmental impact aiming at confining the negative impacts during the various stages of the project. It states that concerned authorities are entitled to grant licenses for the establishment of any project or introducing modifications; Chapter II sets out requirements for the work environment and the indoor environment, including levels of exposure to ultraviolet ray, electro-magnetic fields and laser ray; Chapter III deals with the environmental criteria for chemical substances production, safety, transport, storage, import and export from and to the State of Kuwait, and the customs transit through its territories and establishes that to produce, import or export chemicals is required a license from the concerned authorities after taking consent of the Environment Public Authority; Chapter IV indicates conditions for managing household, hazardous, healthcare and sludge wastes. It establishes that a license from competent authorities shall be obtained in order to collect and transfer wastes. The Chapter deals also with criteria for selecting the dangerous wastes disposal site; conditions for storing hazardous waste; rules for the transporter of hazardous waste; conditions to be met by transportation vehicle according to the type of cargo; licensees and technical specifications for building an incinerator; plastic bags waste and health care waste containers; sanitary and industrial sludge and conditions to be applied before marketing and distributing sanitary sludge; Chapter V deals with protection of marine (relating with discharge treated liquid waste, industrial liquid discharge, treated liquid wastewater) and coastal environment relating with discharge treated liquid waste, industrial liquid discharge, treated liquid wastewater; Chapter VI regards the protection of earth crust and desert areas from pollution and the exploitation of land irrigated farming setting out conditions and criteria; Chapter VII concerns the protection of ambient air form pollution; Chapter VII on biodiversity regulates all the activities relating with the protection and reproduction of animals and plants especially those endangered ; Chapter IX deals with General provisions while Chapter X contains the following Appendixes: 1. List of the development projects which need to conduct an Environmental Impact Study; 2. Engineering and environmental requirements of industrial sector; 3.maximum limits allowance for occupational exposure to specified substances; 4. Allowable noise limits; 5. Limits allowed for Ultra-Sound Waves; 6. Maximum limits allowed for Heat-Stress in Industrial Environment; 7. Working environment light; 8. Limits allowed for exposure of hands to vibrations; 9. Limits Allowed for Skin or Eye Exposure to Rays; 10. Chemical materials management; 11. Management of domestic wastes, hazardous wastes, health care wastes and sludge wastes; 12. Ambient seawater quality criteria; 13. Maximum limits of Pollutants in industrial Water Waste permissible to be discharged into the sea; 14. The criteria of the treated waste Drainage water discharged into sewerage; 15. Criteria of treated drainage wastes water used in irrigation; 16. Un-bottled Potable water; 17. Definitions; 18. Noise limits; and 19. Definitions.
