These Regulations amend the Town and Country Planning (Permission in Principle) Order 2017 to allow local planning authorities to grant permission in principle for development the main purpose of which is housing development on an application to the authority in accordance with provisions inserted into that Order by this instrument. They also concern (exemption from) environmental impact assessment procedures. The Regulations also make minor amendments to the Statutory Instruments listed in Schedule 2.

The purpose of this Act is to contribute to the promotion of public welfare with the systematic management of uninhabited islands and surrounding waters by prescribing matters necessary for the conservation and management of uninhabited islands and surrounding waters. In particular, the State and local governments shall formulate and execute policies necessary for the proper conservation and management of uninhabited islands, such as protecting uninhabited islands and surrounding waters from being damaged, or indiscreetly utilized or developed. The text consists of 37 articles.

Enforcement Decree of the Rearrangement of Agricultural and Fishing Villages Act.

This Act provides with respect to local government and selected matters of local development and planning in Ghana. It, among other things, provides for the creation of district assemblies, metropolitan assemblies, district planning authorities, the Local Government Service, the District Assemblies Common Fund, Regional Co-ordinating Councils, and the Inter-Ministerial Co-ordinating Committee on Decentralisation. For purposes of Local governance, the districts in existence immediately before the commencement of this Act shall continue to exist.

The carrying out provisions of this Ordinance shall be vested in the Central Housing and Planning Authority (sect. 3). The Authority may make Regulation regarding procedures for the adoption of planning schemes and may by resolution decide to prepare, adopt, or vary a scheme. Those schemes shall be submitted to the Administrator in Council for approval under section 6. "Schemes" includes a town planning scheme, a regional scheme, a supplementary scheme and a scheme varying or revoking an existing scheme (sect. 2).
