These Regulations, consisting of 11 sections, regulates administrative and legal proceedings related to the consolidation of the law on the simplification of the title to and the dealing with estates in land. The Regulations establish that every plan shall be accompanied by a digital electronic record of that plan in a format specified by the Inspector of Plans and Surveys.

This Resolution, consisting of 6 Chapters and 2 Annexes, approving the Regional Scheme for the Territorial Planning of São Vicente island (EROT-SV). It also states that the General Direction for Territorial and Urban Land Use Planning (DGOTDU) will be responsible for promoting the design of the EROT, through a competition for selecting an enterprise or cabinet with technical capacities.

The present Law introduces some substantial amendments to the Land Transaction Law 2001 (LGBl. 9/2002). In particular, the Law adds a chapter 2a to article 13 on Acquisition of building land. The afore-mentioned chapter consists of: Sphere of application, objectives (art. 13a); Building land (art. 13b); Legal transactions subject to registration (art. 13c); Terms of use (art. 13d). Furthermore, article 35 on Penalties is reworded and article 35a on References to federal Legislation is added.

The present Law implements the Federal Land Use Planning Law of 22 June 1979 and is the basis for measures concerning land use planning and building of the Canton and municipalities. The Law aims at a purposeful, especially thrifty use of land; the promotion of a meaningful and orderly development of the settlement; the protection of cultural heritage, landscapes and natural resources from impairment. La presente Ley define la naturaleza jurídica y regula el ámbito de competencia, la rectoría, las funciones y la estructura orgánica básica del Ministerio de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento (MVCS), y sus relaciones con otras entidades.
