The present Agreement among the First Nation of Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada and the Government of the Yukon establishes the framework of a modern First Nation Government. In particular, the Agreement provides for the power to enact laws of a local or private nature on settlement land and for many aspects of the citizens' lives (marriage, adoption, education, administration of estates, etc.).

The present Agreement among the Carcross/Tagish First Nation and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada and the Government of the Yukon establishes the framework for a modern First Nation Government. In particular, the Agreement provides for the power to enact laws of a local or private nature on settlement land and for many aspects of the citizens' lives (marriage, adoption, education, administration of estates, etc.).

The present Agreement among the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada and the Government of the Yukon establishes the framework of a modern First Nation Government. In particular, the Agreement provides for the power to enact laws of a local or private nature on settlement land and for many aspects of the citizens' lives (marriage, adoption, education, administration of estates, etc.).

The Contracting Parties, Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada, the Kluane First Nation and the Government of the Yukon have developed the present Plant which identifies certain activities to be undertaken and certain payments to be made with respect to the implementation of the Selkirk First Nation Self-Government Agreement.

The present Agreement among the Kwanlin Dun First Nation and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada and the Government of the Yukon establishes the framework for a modern First Nation Government. In particular, the Agreement provides for the power to enact laws of a local or private nature on settlement land and for many aspects of the citizens' lives (marriage, adoption, education, administration of estates, etc.).

The present Act establishes that the Governance Agreement signed on behalf of Sioux Valley Dakota Nation and Her Majesty in right of Canada on August 30, 2013 is approved, given effect and declared valid and has the force of law.

The Contracting Parties, Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada, the Selkirk First Nation and the Government of the Yukon have developed the present Plant which identifies certain activities to be undertaken and certain payments to be made with respect to the implementation of the Selkirk First Nation Self-Government Agreement.

For the purpose of the present Act "Northern Flood Agreement" means the Agreement dated December 16, 1977 and concluded between a) Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada, b) Her Majesty the Queen in right of Manitoba, c) the Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board, and d) the Northern Flood Committee Inc.; "Norway House Cree Nation" means the Norway House Cree Nation, also known as the Norway House Indian Band, a band within the meaning of the Indian Act (Canada).

This Act winds up the Nauruan Land Owners Royalty Trust Fund, the Nauru Rehabilitation Fund and other dormant funds. It also requires the Cabinet may make regulations prescribing any matter or thing required or authorised by this Act to be prescribed or which is necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act. The Nauru Phosphate Royalties Trust (NPRT) was a sovereign wealth fund developed by the government of the Republic of Nauru in which the government invested money from the state owned mining company, Nauru Phosphate Corporation.

This Act amends the RONWAN Distribution Act with respect to, among other things, the Winding Up of the Nauruan Land Owners Royalty Trust Fund and the administration by the Nauru Rehabilitation Corporation of the Long Term Investment Fund established pursuant to S. 62(1) of the Constitution. This Act also amends the Nauru Rehabilitation Corporation Act 1997, the Nauru Phosphate Royalties Trust Act 1968 and the Nauru Phosphate Royalties (Payment and Investment) Act 1968. It also concerns some administrative matters of the Nauru Phosphate Royalties Trust (NPRT).

This Act provides with respect to local government in Papua New Guinea and declares that purposes of Local-level Government and of a Local-level Government are public purposes for the purpose of Section 53 (unjust deprivation of property) of the Constitution. “Local-level Government” means a Local-level Government established in accordance with Sections 26 and 27 of the Organic Law on Provincial Governments and Local-level Governments.
