It also ensures that its staff and the farmers are trained to cope with the challenges of developing the agriculture sector.

International Potato Center

CIP

The International Potato Center, known by its Spanish acronym CIP, was founded in 1971 as a root and tuber research-for-development institution delivering sustainable solutions to the pressing world problems of hunger, poverty, and the degradation of natural resources. CIP is truly a global center, with headquarters in Lima, Peru and offices in 20 developing countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Working closely with our partners, CIP seeks to achieve food security, increased well-being, and gender equity for poor people in the developing world.

International Rice Research Institute

IRRI

IRRI aims to improve livelihoods and nutrition, abolishing poverty, hunger and malnutrition among those who depend on rice-based agri-food systems. In doing so, IRRI’s work protects the health of rice farmers and consumers, and the environmental sustainability of rice farming in a world challenged by climate change. IRRI’s work promotes the empowerment of women and supports opportunities for youth in an equitable agri-food system.

Pan-Africa Bean Research Alliance

PABRA

PABRA is all about beans.


We believe that beans can improve the food security, income and health of smallholder farmers and urban dwellers across Africa, as well as contribute to improved soil fertility.


We also believe that by increasing the competitiveness of bean markets, we can provide consumers with better products and contribute to the economic growth of our member countries.


We work with more than 350 partners and members across 30 countries to do just that.

WorldVeg

The World Vegetable Center, an international nonprofit research and development institute, is committed to alleviating poverty and malnutrition in the developing world through the increased production and consumption of nutritious and health-promoting vegetables.

Ministry of Rural Development and Land Reform - Republic of South Africa

DRDLR

The Ministry of Rural Development and Land Reform (DRDLR) was created in 2009. For the first time in its history, the country would have a ministry dedicated to the social and economic development of rural South Africa; committed to ensuring that South Africans residing in rural areas enjoyed the same benefits as their urban cousins, so that that they too were covered by the blanket of human rights and basic dignity guaranteed in our Constitution.

Namibia National Farmers Union

NNFU

NNFU is a national federation of regional farmers unions. It was established in June 1992 to serve as a mouthpiece for Namibian communal and emerging farmers. Twelve regional farmers unions are currently affiliated. NNFU is registered as 'An association not for Gain' in accordance with the provisions of section 21 of the Company Act, Act N 61 of 1973. Official registration number 21/98/529.

Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organisation

KALRO

KALRO is a corporate body created under the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Act of 2013 to establish suitable legal and institutional framework for coordination of agricultural research in Kenya with the following goals:


• Promote, streamline, co-ordinate and regulate research in crops, livestock, genetic resources and biotechnology in Kenya.


• Expedite equitable access to research information, resources and technology and promote the application of research findings and technology in the field of agriculture.

Coalition of Cambodian Farmer Community

CCFC

Coalition of Cambodian Farmer Community (CCFC) is a membership-based organization created on January 11th, 2011 by 12 communities (from Kandal, Svay Rieng and Preah Sihanouk) that work together to address land issues; natural resource and forced eviction resulting from development projects effecting on farmers’ lives. By seeing this, CCFC is governed by Executive Committee and advised by general council and advisory board. They are selected by member and authorize to makes decision.
