These Regulations amend the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 so as to, among other things: insert a new definition to explain what a modification proposal is, in relation to a neighbourhood plan, and with respect to the procedure for making a neighbourhood development plan in Part 5.

The primary objective of the National Land Use Plan (NLUP) is to provide a strategic framework to guide land development in Guyana. The Agricultural Perspective Plan (APP) is a national strategy with a cross-sectoral approach with a duration of twenty years (1995-2015). Its goal is to add two percentage points to the country’s agricultural growth which would expand per capita agricultural growth sixfold, from its current 0.5% to 3% per year. The APP strategy is based on the acceleration of the agricultural growth rate sufficiently to obtrain strong multiplier effect on growth in employment, both in agriculture itself and in nonagricultural sectors.

The Order regulates protection measures for the sustainability of coastal zones of the sea, water objects and rivers of Georgia, as well as provides for the state supervision and liability issues for negative erosional processes in the same zones. According to the Order, these regulations are oriented towards an integration of the interests of multiple sectors in order to enhance the sustainability of social and ecosystems.
