WeRobotics is a social impact organization that brings together local experts, communities and activists to offer practical alternatives to systems dominated by foreign-led and top-down interventions. Their endgame? Create replicable models that can be adapted and adopted by other organizations. Omidyar Network supported the design, launch, and administration of a multi-phased open data and AI innovation challenge to identify a portfolio of solutions that ethically and strategically leverage drones and other robotics technologies to collect and analyze geospatial data to benefit local communities.
