The Act (79 sections, 1 Schedule) is divided into 7 Parts: Preliminary (I); Administration (II); Qualification of Surveyors and Registration (III); Regulation of Practice (IV); Discipline of Registered Persons (V); Appeals from Board's Decisions (VI); Miscellaneous (VII).The Act establishes the Surveyors Board of Queensland which is responsible, inter alia, for the training, examination, testing and registration of surveyors and the establishment of survey standards. The Act further provides for the establishment of ad-hoc Surveyors Disciplinary Committees, right to enter upon land, marks, evidence and regulation making powers.
