The President of the Committee orders : 1). To carry out legalisation of the documents certifying the right of ownership of the plots of land belonging to physical persons, including members of gardening associations, in strict accordance with the legislation currently in force. 2). To prohibit to the territorial (local) branches of the Committee to request from citizens documentation not pertaining to the procedure of legalisation of their right to previously allotted plots of land.

This Act: confers powers upon the President of Kenya to grant title or other rights in Government lands; provides for the appointment of a Commissioner of Lands and such other officers as may be necessary for the administration of this Act; and defines procedures and other requirements such as registration in respect to grant of title or other rights in Government land.The Act consists of 146 sections divided into 11 Parts.The President may make grants or dispositions of any estates, interests or rights in or over unalienated Government land in accordance with section 3.

Private Roads and Sub-divisions Act (Cap. 256).

This Act makes provision, among other things, for the sub-division of land in which provision is made for the construction of access roads.Sub-division plans shall be approved by the Town and Country Planning Committee and the Minister in accordance with this Act. Also the alienation of lots that are not marked on the survey plan require the approval of the Committee. Appeal from decisions of the Committee may be had with the Minister.

Repealed by: Planning and Subdivision Act, 2010 (No. 4 of 2010). (2010-03-16)

This Act makes provision, among other things, for the sub-division of land of the Out Islands in which provision is made for the construction of access roads.Sub-division plans shall be approved by the Minister in accordance with this Act. Also the alienation any land of new sub-divisions requires the approval of the Minister and shall be subject to certain conditions. Some other restrictions on alienation are specified for lots that are not marked on the approved survey plan.

Repealed by: Planning and Subdivision Act, 2010 (No. 4 of 2010). (2010-03-16)

The present Regulations enacts the Planning and Development Act, 2007. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the establishment of buffer zones in the subdivision of land. The text – consisting of 17 sections – deals with the following matters: designation of dedicated lands on plan of subdivision, buffer strips, leases, additional uses of public reserves and municipal reserves, lease by a council that is an approving authority, moneys received concerning dedicated lands, exemption, easements density and Northern Saskatchewan Administration Direction.
