Mamun Ur Rashid has strong experiences on land administration and management in partnership with Ministry of Land and Department of Land Records and Survey, Bangladesh. He is knowledgeable and experienced with number of participatory tools and methods in order to selection of state land, women's access over the land and vested property act etc.
He has been working with non profit sector on human rights and governance for last 16 years, mostly project development and management roles. He has experiences of direct land project implementation in order to protect rights of women, widow, religious minorities, indigenous, elderly and disable land owners. He is one of the team member of National land policy formulation committee, National steering committee on land reform, National Budget Advocacy Group etc.

WOMEN’S RIGHT TO LAND IN BANGLADESH
It has been frequently argued that women’s access to and control over land can potentially lead to greater gender equitability alongside addressing material deprivation. Gender equality today is considered one of the crucial premises for economic and social development as well as women’s empowerment as recognized in the MDGs and SDGs.
Draft National Land Policy in Bangladesh
The Government of Bangladesh has been taking concrete measures to address the problems relating to land administration and management. At the same time, however, the Government recognizes that more needs to be done at the policy level to tackle crucial systemic anomalies. As it stands now, the complexity and magnitude of issues pertaining to land administration and management in Bangladesh cannot be overstated. The nature and volume of land disputes in the nation call for practical measures directed at improving the land administration and management system.
Training on GeoODK in Bangladesh
Training on GeoODK1 was held on 4th and 5th September 2016 at the YWCA2 in Dhaka to develop the staff capacity about the mobile base survey, analysis and presentation. The training was facilitated by Mr. Frank Pichel & Mr. David Palomino both of working in Cadasta.org as chief program officer & product owner respectively. Study on vulnerable land owners selection in Bangladesh
Uttaran in partnership with Manusher Jonno Foundation and CARE has been implementing SALE (Sustainable Access to Land Equality) project funded by European union in three upazilas of Bangladesh. The development goal of this project is to strengthen access to land and property rights for all citizens, especially the poorest segments. Mainly, the project intends to promotion of effective, transparent and accountable land governance practices towards access to equitable land and property rights for the poorest community.
Guideline for Bhumi Committee_Uttaran Experiences
Land survey and settlement is an irregular work therefore most land owners are ignorant or unconscious about this matter, as a result later on they fall in trouble about ownership. Especially, poor and marginalized land owners are mostly affected. At the time of survey the land owner face a great problem if the land is not recorded properly. Participation of people are really limited in most publicly administrated government works. As there is no participation of people, lots of great idea turn into failure. It is important to know and understand any people related works.
Report on National level Consultation Meeting on National Land Policy_Bangladesh
A National Level Consultation meeting on draft National Land Policy conducted on August 8, 2016. The national level consultation meeting was jointly organized by Strengthening Access to Land Equality for All Citizens of Bangladesh Project and Sustainable Access to Land Equality Project. With the leadership of Ministry of Land, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh along with 12 relevant ministries has been working in the technical committee for drafting the policy.
Poster on Digital Survey and Settlement for public education in Bangladesh
Uttaran is implementing a project titled, Sustainable Access to Land Equality-SALE' with support of European Union. SALE is the civil society component of overall access to land project that is lead by Department of Land Records and Surveys (DLRS) and Ministry of Land in Bangladesh. SALE partners are taking the main responsibility of the public awareness of vulnerable land owners, capacity support to make the vulnerable land owners sensitive land administration, to pilot transparent landless people selection and state land settlement to landless people.
Advocacy poster for state land allocation for land less people in Bangladesh
Uttaran is the pioneer leading national non-government to promote rights for landless people of Bangladesh since 1985. As part of its activities under land less people and state land settlement, it has already piloted the participatory land less selection process and state land identification. The process has been accelerated with number of communication materials such as posters, leaflets and brochures. This poster has described the discrimination between men and women during state land allocation and also promote advocacy agenda with government.

Badabon Sangho is (a non-profit and non political organisation) working since June 2015 by a group of motivated and dedicated single women in Southwest region of Bangladesh. Darpan Samaj Unnayan Kendra
The increasing woes of millions of the disadvantaged groups of people drew attention of a group of young man and women in the year 2000 in Comilla district and they got together and decided to form an organization in order to meliorate their conditions. Consequently Darpan Samaj Unnayan Kendra was established in the same year on 14th April. Darpan is a non-governmental, non-profitable and non-political voluntary social development Organization.
