An Alberta land surveyor, surveyor's corporation or surveyor's partnership may engage in the practice of surveying. "Alberta land surveyor" means an individual who holds a certificate of registration and an annual certificate to engage in the practice of surveying under this Act. The Alberta Land Surveyors' Association is continued as a corporation. The Association shall be governed by a Council. The Council may appoint a Registrar for the purposes of this Act. In addition, there is hereby established a board called the Practice Review Board.

All the municipalities present on the territory of the Russian Federation must be recorded in the Federal Register. The authorized body of the regional administration must forward to the competent authority a copy of explanatory note containing the following data: 1) information regarding settlements that make part of a given municipality; 2) data on the boundaries of settlements and municipalities. The Government, in accordance with Code on subsoil and processing of mineral resources decrees to validate the Regulation. This document determines objects, duties, rights and establishes the liability of the authorized institutions of state control over protection and use of subsoil. This Regulation is obligatory for all juridical and physical persons irrespectively of the form of property and departmental affiliation that carry out geological survey, mine workings (including hydro-mineral resources) and processing of mineral resources or use subsoil for other purposes.

This Federal Law establishes the legal basis of the activity in the field of land survey and cartography. The purpose of this Federal Law is to set up conditions for fulfilling the needs of state institutions, citizens and juridical persons in land survey and cartographic products and to create conditions for the functioning and interaction between state institutions in the field of land survey and cartography. The Law consists of 3 Sections composed of 19 articles. Section 1 lays down the general provisions.

The Government decrees to validate the Regulation. In accordance with this Regulation the concession of information regards only state land cadastre data open for general use. This Regulation does not cover state land cadastre data of limited access. The Federal Land Cadastre and its territorial branches concede state land cadastre information. In order to obtain information as regards a single plot of land its cadastre number must be specified and in case of its absence its location (address orientation) must be specified.

The Government decrees to validate the Regulation. This Regulation determines the modalities of setting up and keeping up of the Federal Cartographic and Geodetic Fund. This Fund makes part of state cartographic and geodetic fund and represents the totality of geodetic, cartographic, topographic, hydrographic, aerospacial, and ground planning data of national and interdepartmental importance collected in the course of geodetic and cartographic activity and displayed in graphic, digital, photographic and other forms and subject to long-term storage.

The Government decrees to validate the Regulation. This Regulation determines the modalities of cadastre subdivision of the national territory for the purpose of keeping up of state land cadastre and assignation of cadastre number to the plots of land. In accordance with this Regulation all the territory of the Russian Federation, including the territories of all regions, inland waters and territorial sea, is subdivided into cadastre districts.

The present Act lays down provisions relating to the practice of land surveying for the protection of the public and administration of the profession. Section 6 establishes that the Association of Manitoba Land Surveyors is continued as a body corporate. The purpose of the association is to: a) uphold and protect the public interest in the delivery of land surveying services by ensuring the competence, integrity and independence of its members; and b) act in the public interest in matters affecting the protection, viability and security of the land tenure system in Manitoba.
