This Order establishes the declaration of protected places. It specifies such places in the first column of the Schedule: 1. El presente Acuerdo, reconociendo los asentamientos tradicionales de las Comunidades Indígenas Waorani, procede a la revisión de los límites del Parque Nacional Yasuní (PNY), amplia el territorio del PNY, como Patrimonio Nacional de Áreas Naturales, hacia el sector suroccidental comprendido entre los ríos Cononaco y Curaray, con la finalidad de conformar una unidad ecológica integral que permita la conservación y manejo de las principales cuencas y subcuencas de ese sector.

This Action Plan is a national Plan with a cross-sectoral approach, addressing issues falling under its mandate in an integrated way. The timeframe is 10 years between 2006 and 2015.

Both Parties agree to cooperate on land resource management,land administration and immigrant resettlement. This Act provides for the establishment of the Protected Areas Commission, the Protected Areas Trust and a Trust Fund and empowers the Minister to declare national protected areas. It applies to the territorial sea, exclusive economic zone, fishery zone and continental shelf as defined in the Maritime Zones Act 2010. The Act alos provides with respect to the National Protected Areas System and allows village councils to apply to the Commission for village lands or any part thereof to be recognised as an Amerindian protected area.

This Instrument, made by the Minister of State under section 39 of the Protected Areas Act declares Kanashen Village to be an Amerindian Protected Area. Kanashen Village is communal village lands held by the Village Council on behalf of the Wai Wai Amerindian people of that Village. The Village Council is the Sole Management Authority for the Amerindian Protected Area. The area will be managed as a Category VI: Protected area with sustainable use of natural resources protected area under the International Union for Conservation of Nature Protected Areas Categories System.

El presente Acuerdo, mediante el Artículo 5º, establece el Parque Nacional Yasuní (PNY) y determina sus límites y coordenadas geográficas.

El presente Acuerdo, considerando que circunstancias de diferente índole propias de ese sector amazónico, establece la necesidad de una nueva determinación y delimitación del Parque Nacional Yasuní (PNY), con la finalidad de respetar los asentamientos de comunidades aborígenes y proporcionando protección a zonas que no gozan de ese beneficio.

Article 5 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Proclamation of natural complexes and sites nature monuments and areas where they are located protected areas shall be performed by decision of Regional Government. In case of necessity the respective land arear and waterbodies can be expropriated for state need in accordance with the modalities envisaged by civil, land and water legislation”.

This Resolution sets forth principles and guidelines of application for wind power stations in protected areas. This Regulation underlines that the applications will be evaluated by the Regional Committees for preservation of natural heritage, in accordance with the scientific reports. The protected areas are divided into two categories, such as (i) sensitive areas with high protection and (ii) protected areas with sustainable use of natural resource.
