La autora estudió ciencias de la educación y desde esa perspectiva nos propone una reflexión a partir de su estudio sobre la introducción de la oveja “cara negra” en rebaños de ovejas criollas en comunidades de una provincia del altiplano boliviano. La principal línea de especulación toma en cuenta aspectos culturales y de género que no siempre son parte de la acción más concreta en el desarrollo rural.

Les 1ers Entretiens Techniques du Projet Régional d’Appui au Pastoralisme au Sahel (PRAPS) se sont tenus du 15 au 17 mars 2016 à Dakar autour de la thématique « Gestion durable des parcours dans le Sahel : stratégies, pratiques, gouvernance et promotion ». Ces entretiens ont conduit à l’élaboration de 3 notes aux décideurs et de 5 notes aux opérateurs (praticiens).

Administration of land in Tanzania is more decentralized from the president to the village level. The law gives power to village councils and village assemblies to administer village land. The District authorities are given advisory and supervisory mandates over villages and represent the commissioner who takes overall administrative powers.  Despite decentralization, institutions responsible for land administration, land have continued to be cause of many conflicts for years.  Conflicts have been escalating and lead loss of lives and property.

In light of persisting land use conflicts and marginal productivity on village lands, a research in the captioned topic was deemed necessary. This report makes a review of policies on land and livestock agriculture behind the backdrop of the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania, policies on land and agriculture, and aspirations for land reform. Violations in land rights and prevailing tenure insecurity lasting for decades have skewed mindsets of many users and the land administrators. Policy implementation and enforcement are in dire need of enhancement.

Tanzania is endowed with numerous resources including livestock. It is number three country in Africa in terms of livestock population after Ethiopia and Sudan. Currently, the country (Tanzania) has more than 22 million livestock, of which at least 95% are indigenous animals kept under traditional livelihood model known as indigenous pastoralism. At least 70% of Tanzanians earn their living through agro-pastoralism whereby around 40% of them entirely practices indigenous pastoralism.

This fact finding is the fulfilment of PINGO’s Forum daily activities for inquiring the challenges facing pastoralists communities. In this fact finding, we will look at the impact of wildlife conservations in pastoralists areas. The Wildlife sector has become a threat to livestock sectors by which the wildlife sector is grabbing livestock grazing areas in the name of wild life conservation. In this fact finding we will look at the impact of established Randile Wildlife Management Area (RWMA) into the grazing area of Lolkisale village among other five villages forming the WMA.
