Moreover, associations can promote cooperation between water management and agriculture while further developing the protection of water, soil and nature.
The present Guidelines establish the granting of subsidies for the protection of waters against hazardous substances in order to restore, maintain and improve the quality of waters and reduce suspect contaminated areas.

The present Ordinance implements the Agriculture Law of the Canton Aargau of 1 December 2011. Article 1 establishes that compensation for special ecological services shall be based on agreements with whole entities or on individual measures.
Article 1 of the above-mentioned Law rules that for management of waters belonging to class II in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, water management associations (water and soil associations) shall be established according to the Federal Water and Soil Association Act.
