Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) is a non-profit organisation working with the mandate for a humane social order based on truth, justice, freedom and equity. Established in 1960, IGSSS works for development, capacity building and enlightenment of the vulnerable communities across the country for their effective participation in development.

Fomos fundados em 1972 e estamos presentes em 45 países, alcançando mais de 15 milhões de pessoas no mundo. No Brasil desde 1999, atuamos em mais de 2.4 mil comunidades e beneficiamos mais de 300 mil pessoas. Trabalhamos em parceria com comunidades e organizações locais em projetos de educação, agroecologia e clima, igualdade de gênero e participação e democracia.

Após mais de 50 anos de atuação no Brasil, marcada por uma história de luta e compromisso com os direitos humanos e a democracia, surgiu, em 2014, a Oxfam Brasil, uma organização brasileira, afiliada à confederação Oxfam. A partir de 2015, a Oxfam Brasil inicia suas atividades, trabalhando com outras organizações da sociedade civil, na luta e compromisso pela construção de um país mais justo, sustentável e solidário.

The South African Land Observatory is an initiative whose overall objective is to promote evidence-based and inclusive decision-making over land resources in South Africa. As its name ‘Observatory’ suggests, it collects data and information on land. The initiative is a repository of what is published on land in South Africa and on the events that take place around land in South Africa.

History of the GPO

The Global Partnership for Oceans was launched in 2012 as a new approach to restoring ocean health. It sought to mobilize finance and knowledge to activate proven solutions for the benefit of communities, countries and global well-being.

The GPO had over 150 partners representing governments, international organizations, civil society groups, and private sector interests committed to addressing the threats to the health, productivity and resilience of the ocean.

The PMR is a forum for collective innovation and action and a fund to support capacity building to scale up climate change mitigation

• The PMR provides support to prepare and implement climate change mitigation policies—including carbon pricing instruments—in order to scale up GHG mitigation.
• Serving as a platform to share lessons, countries work together to shape the future of cost-effective GHG mitigation.

ESMAP is a partnership between the World Bank Group and 17 partners to help low and middle-income countries reduce poverty and boost growth, through environmentally sustainable energy solutions. Situated within the World Bank, ESMAP influences billions in loans for development projects, leverages public and private financing, and shapes global policy.

The Consultative Group (CG) is GFDRR’s primary decision-making and advisory body.

The Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) is a global partnership program administered by the World Bank Group. GFDRR supports developing countries to: (i) mainstream disaster risk management and climate change adaptation in development strategies and investment programs, and (ii) improve the quality and timeliness of resilient recovery and reconstruction following a disaster.

IRRI aims to improve livelihoods and nutrition, abolishing poverty, hunger and malnutrition among those who depend on rice-based agri-food systems. In doing so, IRRI’s work protects the health of rice farmers and consumers, and the environmental sustainability of rice farming in a world challenged by climate change. IRRI’s work promotes the empowerment of women and supports opportunities for youth in an equitable agri-food system.

The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity was established (Article 24) to support the goals of the Convention.
