The purpose of this study was to explore perceptions of the benefits and challenges experienced by community and allotment gardens utilising a broad theoretical analysis, pertaining to the case study of Melbourne, a city in Australia that until recently has been experiencing significant population growth and urban densification. The study involved qualitative, semi-structured interviews with 23 participants from six urban community and allotment gardens.

Objectives: Few studies have examined the impacts of structural differences in the urban–rural dichotomy under the new household registration policy on migration and settlement behavior. Nevertheless, the rationale for the settlement policy of local governments should be further elucidated and improved. This study aims to analyze the household registration, land property rights, and differences in migrants’ settlement intentions. Methods: This study used migration survey data from the Pearl River Delta and probit regression to fill this gap in the literature.

Impact of Farmland Rental Contract Disputes on Farmland Rental Market Participation

In the context of an ambiguous structure of farmland property rights, farmland rental contract disputes exhibited an upward tendency over the past decade, in practice, which damaged the expectations of land tenure security and, consequently, influenced the willingness of people to participate in farmland rental markets. Thus, the main aim of this paper was to analyze the impact of farmland rental contract disputes on farmland rental market participation, which was empirically tested by using a logit model, IV-probit model, and survey data for 762 apple growers.

It may also trigger forest protection, water conservation, and urban water security. The main aim of the research is to evaluate the impact of ecological property rights and farmers’ investment behavior in the economic forest.
