(Mexico): .With FY2021 funds, USAID, in partnership with the U.S..Forest Service will build the capacity of the GOM in forest management and governance.in order to reduce deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions from the forestry.sector. In particular, the Activity will work with key GOM institutions to plan.for and implement an upgraded National Forest Management System to improve the.transparency and legality of raw materials and forest products. In addition,.the Activity will work with GOM to implement a robust and transparent national.forest inventory and monitoring system to improve decision making and forest.management as well as improve sustainable land management, and reduce illegal.logging and improve sustainable natural resource management practices at the.community level.
