Dashboard tracks land and the Sustainable Developing Goals (SDGs)

New York (September 6, 2017) —  A dashboard focused on Land and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was launched today by the Land Portal Foundation and the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN)[1]  to make information related to the land indicators in the SDGs widely available.

MUMBAI (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - Female farmers urged the Indian government on Wednesday to protect their land rights and keep them safe from abuse as women increasingly run farms abandoned by men for jobs in the city.

Women own just 13 percent of land in India although they do two-thirds of all farm work, with ownership largely passing from fathers to sons.

Nigerian women protest land grabbing

Scores of women yesterday took to the streets and barricaded the Effurun roundabout axis of the East-West Road in protest over an alleged land-grab and sale of about 185.20 hectares of prime property at Uvwie, Uvwie Local Council of Delta State by the Nigerian Army.
