The Land Portal is a Foundation registered in the Netherlands in 2014.
The vision of the Portal is to improve land governance to benefit those with the most insecure land rights and the greatest vulnerability to landlessness through information and knowledge sharing.
The goal of the Portal is to become the leading online destination for information, resources, innovations and networking on land issues. Through this it will support more inclusive and informed debate and action on land governance and will increase the adoption and up-scaling of best practices and emerging innovations on land tenure.

O Relatório Anual do Land Portal 2024 comemora 15 anos de defesa de uma governança fundiária aberta, inclusiva e baseada em dados. Em 2024, a plataforma lançou o Índice de Informação Fundiária (SOLIndex), expandiu parcerias globais e destacou as vozes da comunidade por meio de novas iniciativas, como os(as) Campeões(as) de Dados Abertos e os Escritores(as) Convidados da NELGA. Com um forte foco no Sul Global, o Land Portal continua a empoderar a tomada de decisões por meio de conhecimento selecionado e advocacia digital.

The Land Portal Annual Report 2024 celebrates 15 years of championing open, inclusive, and data-driven land governance. In 2024, the platform launched the State of Land Information Index (SOLIndex), expanded global partnerships, and spotlighted community voices through new initiatives like the Open Data Champions and NELGA Guest Writers. With a strong focus on the Global South, the Land Portal continues to empower decision-making through curated knowledge and digital advocacy.
