Women and Human Settlements is an online community of practitioners, researchers, grassroots women leaders and development institutions, created for the purpose of sharing knowledge on women’s empowerment, gender equality, urbanization and community development. You can create a personal profile for networking, join discussions, share and find information.

Land and Housing is one of the themes, as is Grassroots Organising.

Land and Housing: Accessing, owning and controlling land and housing empowers women to drive sustainable development in their communities. If not, development lags. Land and housing affects such issues as food security, economic livelihoods, education, health, basic services, freedom from violence and autonomy and dignity.
