Hugo Passalacqua entregó títulos de propiedad y permisos de ocupación, además dejó habilitada ampliación de red de distribución de agua e inauguró un tanque elevado. Con respecto a la entrega de 73 títulos de Propiedad y 26 permisos de ocupación, los beneficiarios son vecinos de Campo Grande, Campo Viera, Campo Ramón, Aristóbulo del Valle, Colonia Aurora, 25 de Mayo y 2 de Mayo. “Hoy tienen esa certeza de que la tierra donde van a vivir es de ustedes, esto es llevarle alegría a la gente. La política es eso, tratar de hacer feliz a la gente”, señaló el gobernador.

La Agencia Nacional de Tierras inició, a través de la Unidad de Gestión de la Costa Caribe,  la formalización y saneamiento de los predios en las veredas de la denominada Zona Alta del municipio El Carmen de Bolivar.

La iniciativa fue necesaria, ya que la mayoría de los campesinos propietarios de las parcelas no cuentan con la real titularidad de los bienes inmuebles.
La falta de esos documentos no les permite acceder a los dos subsidios y otros incentivos, porque no existe la legalización y un documento que los acredite como sus propietarios.

On Nov. 13 in Bahrain, the Inter-Agency Expert Group on the Sustainable Development Goal Indicators voted to reclassify SDG Land Indicator 1.4.2 from Tier III to Tier II status.  This is a significant win for the property rights community, and a validation that a coordinated effort from many different players can indeed make a difference.

However, the road there was not easy.

Members of the Brazilian indigenous Guaraní community took part in peaceful protests against privatisation of state parks. Their demonstrations were also calling attention to their dire living conditions. For instance, Guarani living in São Paulo are confined to two tiny villages the size of four football pitches. Land is a vital part of the Guaraní culture and tradition, however their current condition means that they are slowly losing touch with their cultural past by not being able to utilise their land for fishing, gathering and planting.

BOGOTA, Nov 28 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - Indigenous groups in Paraguay, battling to protect their ancestral lands from expanding agriculture and cattle ranching, launched the first online map of their territory on Tuesday.

Paraguay’s beef and soy export industries are the main drivers of deforestation in the fast-growing South American nation, often coming into conflict with some 120,000 indigenous people, the World Resources Institute (WRI), a think tank, said.

Known as disruptive technology that no one can control and hegemonise, blockchain is a decentralised distributed digital ledger collectively maintained by a new work of computers, called nodes. This will not allow one person to modify without those who maintain the records agreeing to the change.

However that is not all about Sierra Leone; there are a lot of positives the country can showcase which include good practices in land administration.

At the just-ended 2017 Conference on Land Policy in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, the West African country unveiled its good practices from implementing the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure (VGGT).
