Welcome to MLIKE!
We are a multi-organisational interactive platform to facilitate information-sharing, learning, analysis, dialogue and problem-solving on land issues, between a wide range of people and organizations, in the Mekong region.
We aim to contribute to fair, equitable and sustainable solutions to improve land tenure security for family farmers and ethnic minorities in order to support durable economic development and poverty reduction.
Our platform is used by researchers, entrepreneurs, government officers, civil society groups, land owners, and land activists with interests in the Mekong Region.
We are here to help you talk with and learn from other people, representing a diversity of land interests, in order to deepen mutual understanding of land issues and contribute to innovative, sustainable and fair solutions to land-related problems.
Through this platform, you can:
Participate in online dialogues to exchange ideas with others;
Stay informed on land-related events and opportunities;
Access publications to help you learn more about land-related issues, from a variety of perspectives, based on the latest research and best practices in land management;
Explore Mekong country profiles to learn about the status of land tenure and land management in each country; and
- Contribute your own ideas via the "Land Stories" blog.
Because this platform facilitates transborder dialogue we are using English here.
The Mekong Land Information and Knowledge Exchange (MLIKE) online platform is a mandated project of the Government of Switzerland, through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
The platform is the product of more than a year of consultations and participatory design with a wide range of people and groups involved in land issues in the Mekong region.
MLIKE is managed by The Mekong Region Land Governance (MRLG), a project of the Government of Switzerland, through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), with co-financing from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Government of Luxembourg. The MRLG project supports land tenure security of smallholder farmers. It is implemented by Land Equity International (LEI) in partnershipwith Group de Recherché et d’ Echanges (GRET) and supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fűr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
This MLIKE website is hosted within the international Land Portal online platform, as a way to link effectively with other land groups and resources from around the world. It soft-launched on 25 May 2017.
We look forward to your participation and contributions!
