Après 17 années de tergiversations, le Plan d’aménagement urbain de la ville de l’Ariana a été définitivement adopté par les membres de la Délégation spéciale du Conseil municipal, lors d(une réunion tenue le 11 août 2017. C’est ce qu’ont indiqué des sources de la direction des services techniques de la municipalité, qui précisent que ce retard est imputé à des problèmes techniques et d’ordre foncier.

Le Plan d’aménagement prévoit trois zones d’extension urbaine à Oued Greb, Rouriche et Borj Turki (zones naturelles proches des Cités Ennasr, Jardins d’El Menzah et Riadh Landlous), sur un périmètre de 200 ha.

Désormais, ces zones pourront être exploitées pour la construction de logements et pour la réalisation de projets économiques, sociaux et culturels.
