Madagascar : des centaines de producteurs sous le coup d’une expulsion à Soavinandriana Itasy | Land Portal

Près de 1 500 producteurs pourraient perdre leurs terres à Soavinandriana Itasy, dans le centre de Madagascar. Opposés à un ancien ministre qui réclame la propriété des 569 hectares qu’ils occupent et exploitent depuis 50 ans, ces producteurs ont vu leur situation s’aggraver avec une décision judiciaire les sommant de quitter les lieux.

« Ces terrains appartenaient avant 1970 à des colons mais les riverains ont commencé à les occuper et à les aménager peu à peu. Ceux qui se déclarent être propriétaires ne se sont manifestés que depuis l’année dernière. Si cette décision du tribunal venait à être appliquée, ce serait la fin pour ces centaines de ménages, ce millier de personnes qui n’ont d’autres occupations que de cultiver ces terres», explique Pierre Marcel Ramilijaona, le représentant des producteurs de Soavinandriana, à News Mada.

Fragilisés par cette décision judiciaire, les riverains en appellent désormais à l’intervention du gouvernement.
