Afin d’encourager les investissements dans le secteur agricole algérien, le ministre de l’Agriculture, du développement rural et de la pêche, Abdesselam Chelghoum, a indiqué qu’en deux ans, 350 000 hectares de terres arables ont été attribués aux investisseurs. C’est ce que rapporte Alg24.


Le ministre, qui s’exprimait à l’occasion du salon professionnel de la production agroalimentaire qui s’achève ce jour à Alger, a appelé les investisseurs à « moderniser le secteur en introduisant de nouvelles technologies dans le domaine de l’agriculture ». Une modernisation qui devrait participer à la dynamique du gouvernement algérien de faire du secteur agricole un pilier de la croissance économique.


Jeudi dernier, M. Chelghoum annonçait déjà que 100 000 hectares de terres cultivables non exploitées avaient été récupérés par l’Etat afin d’être réaffectés pour être mis en valeur. « Nous sommes à la recherche de partenaires en mesure d’accompagner l’Etat dans sa stratégie d’assurer la sécurité alimentaire du pays et de diversifier l’économie nationale », avait-il alors indiqué.
